When it came to designing a crewneck sweater,??looked back?to?historical archives to find their inspiration. The Arne sweat?draws from the sweaters of the 1930s C their heavyweight, diagonally woven loopback?fleece jersey remains a gold standard in fabric construction.
As is often the case with such simple items, the small touches can make a massive difference. So whilst the fabric was sorted, it was still a mission to iterate and find the perfect shape and details to realise their vision. The cut is slightly relaxed C how any good sweater should be C with set-in sleeves and extra thick ribbed cuffs and hem for a vintage look. The neck also has a thick ribbing although nowhere near the width of the aforementioned cuffs. It's all finished off with a durable twin-needle stitch.?
